Marketing 3.0 for small business: three-pronged success strategy.

Small business is near and dear to my heart. It is the growth engine of the US economy creating more jobs than any other. A typical small business owner worries about his or her business’s survival. My advice to you is to not be worried and play defense, but to take charge, be aggressive and play offense. You have a great product and a great service. Why worry? Take a step back..Look at the big picture. Engage with your customers. Ask them for feedback. offer something free for a genuine feedback. Ask customers to like you on social media like Facebook. I encourage you to think longterm. So here is the three-pronged marketing 3.0 for small business that i would recommend.

1. A customer focused website: Any good business need a good website that communicates and engages the target customer. Your website should be customer friendly for your target customer. Typically, a potential customer spends 15 seconds in a site looking for information. If he or she can’t find what they are looking for, they will leave and you miss a great opportunity. Create a website that is simple, neat and user friendly. I recommend that you stay away from flashy animation.
2. SEO: When the world is changing so rapidly around you, is your business adapting to these changes? Your marketing mission should be to retain the existing customers and attract new. Your business should feature in search engines. Ask customers for a feedback in your site. The more positive feedback your receive, google will promote your business in search engine rankings.
3. social media: Social media is your best friend when it comes to reaching a larger target audience. Use Facebook, twitter and email blasts to your advantage.01
